The Smell of the Greasepaint

The Smell of
the Greasepaint

Before there were plywood, lumber and canvas sets in my life calling for decoration, there were people who needed the service. I don’t recall the exact words, but it went something like, “How can I help? What do you know about stage makeup? Nothing, but I can learn!” And so it began.

It’s been awhile since then, but I thoroughly enjoyed painting people and still dabble in it when the need arises. Makeup was just one more hook that theatre set into me to pull me into its boat for the wild ride to whatever comes next.
